Driving Pet Peeves-Post em' so we all can learn!!
SO the holidays are here and everyone is out crowding the roads again. I'm sure I'm not the only one with complaints about everyone else's driving
SO post yours, maybe we can all learn from them!
Mine are:
not thanking me when I let you in especially if you have waited to the last minute
Riding my a$s when you can clearly see I cannot move faster since there is a car or cars in front of me
Riding my a$s when I am already exceeding the speed limit and cannot move over
driving with your brights on with coming traffic
not using the turning lane or actually getting all the way IN the turning lane therefore blocking the lane everyone else is in

Talking on the phone without a handsfree/bluetooth thing.
Reading the newspaper while driving (I see this DAILY!)
cutting me off, by pulling out of a side street then proceeding to go 15mph UNDER the speedlimit when I can't pass you!
Also, the riding my azz thing really ticks me off!
I know I have more!

drivers that drive less then the speed limit in the middle lane - that's what the right lane is for.
drivers that drift between lanes - pick one.
drivers at stop signs that roll through the intersection to see if it's clear but stops in the middle thereby blocking traffic - you may as well go now.
when you see someone driving a little irratcially - a little slow, a little drifting - and it turns out they are on the phone without a handfree device.
drivers that speed up when you put on a blinker to change lanes but not enough so you get behind them.

-People who cut me off b/c they don't want to be behind a truck. What they don't realize is that it's not a BMW...I can't stop on a dime. I'm 8000lbs...it's gonna' take me a little longer.
-People in little cars that can't back up in parking lots b/c they think they're in an 18-wheeler.
-People who double park in Huntington Village!!!!

Tailgating
Aggressive driving (weaving in and out of cars, driving excessively fast)
Cutting in front of my car when coming out of a parking lot even though there is no one behind me (you could wait until I pass and then enter the roadway safely)
Not getting into a turning lane completely
Giving ME the finger when YOU are the azzhole who is driving like a fool

driving on my tail at any speed, but particularly when I'm doing 65.
not signaling.
deciding at the last minute while going 75mph in the left hand land that you want to exit in 50 feet, so you cut across 3 lanes of traffic to do so. If you didn't realize that was your exit - LET IT GO. Get off safely at a later exit and turn around.
speeding in rain, ice, snow, etc.
blowing stop signs. You have to STOP - not slow down or coast through them. They are NOT optional.
motorcycles driving between lanes of traffic.

People who don't use their signal.
People who are up my asss and try to pass me on the right only to get stuck behind a slow moving vehicle that they obviously didn't see... then coming back into my lane (kissing my rear bumper) up my asss again.

DON'T leave your blinker on and NOT turn.
HANG UP your phone (no handsfree law in NC)
DON'T stop on the merge.
And, my favorite pet peeve...
STOP FREAKING TEXTING WHILE DRIVING, YOU DUMBAS$.

Signaling a mile before you plan to turn
Those are the biggest offenders where I live. They are pretty strict(and very expensive) when it comes to tickets so you don't see a lot of offenses. You have to go to traffic school here in LA if you get a ticket or your auto insurance skyrockets too.
One of the things I LOVE about where I live and drivers
They always really stop at stop signs and cross walks when people are walking
Everyone pulls over when a siren goes by- even if its on the other side of the street.

I have millions from being on the Ambulance, but here are a few.......
Not using the turn signal
Driving on my a$$ for ANY reason
Rolling through a STOP sign
Not making a right handed turn on red when you can
Not paying attention
Going s-l-o-w...I mean REALLY s-l-o-w for no reason
Driving like an a$$-hole when the weather is HORRIBLE!
I could go on and on and on and on

dirving across parking spot aisles when the lot is on the empty side - going 50! I can't tell you how many people nearly hit me by doing that!
NOT SIGNALING when you're about to turn! your turn signal is not a decoration. USE IT!  
tailgating! back off!!!!!!
and many others that have already been mentioned.
no wonder our insurance rates are so high

multi-taskers (texting, eating, reading, etc), people that act like the rules of the road don't apply in parking lots, people that are clearly lost and instead of pulling over to figure things out, proceed to drive around foolishly.

People who don't accelerate when coming onto the highway
When you left someone pull onto the road only to have them try to swerve from the right lane all the way to the left

Just curious, but my mom took that defensive driving course and told me when you wave someone and if an accident were to happen then the person who waved would be responsible b/c the wave says 'OK'.
Is there any truth to this or was my mom too lazy to wave thank you when she told me this story?

I can not see how it would be the person who waved responsibility! YOU as the driver are responsible for your vehichle and actually making sure all is clear before proceeding! I could be wrong but I can't see there being any truth to that!
