Drive or car service to LGA when you have young kids

We are traveling with DD for the first time - so we will have a car seat, stroller, bags etc. I was thinking it might be easier to drive ourselves but it looks like the long term parking is very limited at LGA. We have to get to the airport around 4 am b.c delta messed up our seats. Has anyone used the Long term parking there (the short term looks easier but at $30 a day that doesn't make much sense). Will we be forced to park off site?

How hard is it to do car service with a 15 month old - won't it be a pain to get the car seat in and out of their car/van/limo?

We're taking a limo into LGA on Saturday with our 2 boys (6 yrs and 20 months). I think this is such an easier solution than dealing with parking a car, etc.
I'll let you know how it all went when we get back.

we travel a lot....and used many different ways to get to the airport....we now only take our car and leave it there...it costs about hte same as a driver or taxi and to me it is way more convenient.....it is safe...and i love getting into my car on the way home....

What are you doing about car seat? We have a seat for DD so obviously we will be bringing ours - but do you put it in and take it out of the limo?Chat Icon I can't see it being safe to not use one - but isn't it a huge deal to take in and out?

Really? Which lot do you use? I'm afraid if the LGA long term lot is full then we have the choice of the short term or off property. The short term is like $30 a day (we need 9 days) - the off property - do they run a shuttle at like 345am? We have to be at the counter when it opens since delta screwed up our flight down and we are traveling with a 15 month old.

Ugh - these choices were so much easier when it was just Dh and I - this would never have been asked.

we have always found a spot in LTP....never had a problem....i think you should be fine....on a side note, if you decide to take a limo..ask them if they have a car seat-some companies have them--gl w/your decision!

We wil be taking the carseat in and out. We will also have DS sit in it on the plane so he feels like hes in the car. We did this with my older DS and it worked like a charm.

See we have a seat for DD on the plane so we will need the car seat - but we were thinking that if we drove we could bring the extra car seat and not have to install one or the other. Hmmm for those that used the limo one did you bring your own? We want it for the plane so we will have the seat either way.
