dress advice
i bought this dress for a wedding i am going to next week. It is a powder blue...
Well last week i find out that the BM's are in periwinkle....
should i not wear the dress?

What if you didn't find out. I wouldn't feel wierd my aunt and another cousin wore lavendar dresses to my wedding I wasn't upset WHAT I was upset with was my MIL who wore the same color after asked not to.

I think that's a nice color.
I had red bridemaids dresses- apply red, like yours.
I DID notice the 3 women who wore fire engine red dresses. Not because it was similar to the color of the BM dresses, but because it was FIRE ENGINE RED.
I think light blue will be very nice! And, you don't even know what kind of periwinkle it will be. It could be more purply, or more grey, or more blue, it's hard to tell. I doubt you'll look the same as the bridesmaids.

In general I try to avoid thr same color as the Bms if I know, but I think powder blue is different than periwinkle & the BM dresses are probably long--if yours is short , then defintely wear it.
A couple of peopel wore brugundy to my wedding, and I knew before hand & was annoyed, but in the end it didnt' matter--they weren't trying to match the BMs.

I would wear the dress you bought..
I think the color is prob. different enough than periwinkle.. and as Kristin said what if you did NOT know what the BMs were wearing..

Was that from David's? I almost had that as my BM dress, but I tried it on & it is clingier than it looks, so I knew my MOH would hate it. It is a cute dres though, Shanas sister wore it too. You don't look PG at all though.

Yeah that is a David's bridal dress.. my 2 girls wore that dress also .. in lavendar .. and yes in retrospect they WERE too clingy but my girls could care less (thank God they were laid back about this  )
Beth - I still think these people are crazy to think you looked PG

Yes, it was David's. It really was just the clingy material--the cousin next to me was a size 0 and it even looked like she had a belly!
