They're good, but you need to go to Peter Pan in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! They have a cream crumb donut that is to die for! They're consistently rated in like the top 3 donuts in NY for years now.
ETA: I have Doughology by me in Lynbrook. It's really good, but they are cake donuts, not fried which is not my favorite, but still. They always have Churro donuts which are awesome but on the weekends sometimes they'll have the rainbow cookie donuts and cannoli donuts. The cannoli ones are my faves!

You have to follow them on FB! They don't always have them- just on special weekends. But they post a schedule. It's dangerous- I can walk there from my house.

Yeah I think I'm going to play the pregnancy card and make my sister go get them with me this weekend. 
i don't recommend going on a weekend. the line is usually out the door and you have to wait at least 45 minutes.

Oh I know! We can only ever get over there on the weekends but we get there at like 7:15.
