I just hope my U/S tech knows her stuff!!! Chat Icon (I've spent a butt load on non-refundable "girly" stuff for the nursery.)

I work with a nurse and they told her she was having a girl (after a few U/S's). She ended up having a boy. Chat Icon

Me three! I was comforting to know what we are having. Especially with getting everything ready. We talk to my belly and refer to her by name. We feel so bonded to her already, and she is not even here yet. DH & I have no regrets about it at all.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I too often regret finding out what we're having. I mean, I have enjoyed knowing what I'm buying and talking to my baby knowing what it is, but I just feel like I took away a piece of the excitement from the day she will be born. Next time, we're definately NOT finding out.

You might change your mind after you give birth. It is still so exciting even though you know what you are having.

Re: Does anyone regret finding out what they are having?

Dh and I made the day we found out very special..

We both took off from work, had our moms meet us there, went to lunch afterwards, and then went to register!

It was such an exciting day...

To me the day my son was born- I still got a surprise, when I saw what he looked like for the 1st time...

I want to have 3-4 kids.... by the time I have #3 or #4, and if I have at least one of each sex already... I might not find out!

Re: Does anyone regret finding out what they are having?

I'm still debating whether or not to find out for #2. We didn't find out with Jack and I'm glad we chose not to. But this time around I don't think I can be that strong. I really just want to know if I am having a girl this time, although I'd love a boy also.

We didn't find out for our first, and we loved not knowing.

However, for the second one, and for planning purposes, we found out and I don't regret one minute at all. It was just as exciting, and it feels so good to plan for Andrew's sister!

If I would have found out, I think I might have regretted it more if the technician were wrong... I'm DYING to know! But only 6 weeks until I find out! Chat Icon

I wanted at least the first child to be a suprise. If I have more I might cave in and find out the sex.

Re: Does anyone regret finding out what they are having?

I totally do NOT regret! It is so nice being able to refer to her as HER and not it or the baby or whatever. Plus, I'm a planner, so I NEEDED to know!
