Does a 1 year old need snow boots??
Or too young and save my money for next year? DS is walking so I'm wondering if he really needs snow boots? I mean its not like he'll be shoveling snow or anything  . So does he really need them?

Nah...save your money. They are too little to manuver their way through the snow anyway.

I got DS boots. He's 15 months and running all over, and I know he'll want out even if there's a dusting of snow, and other than that, he only has brown sneaker type shoes that would get soaked.

I got them only because DD goes to daycare 3x/week and they said they go outside everyday for at least 20mins, even if there's snow. I figured the boots would keep her feet warmer.

Not a snowboard but he'll need boots. I would save the snowboard for 3-4.

Same reason why I bought Ann a pair at the Carter's outlet. I can't imagine not letting her try to run around if there is snow and I wouldn't want it to be in her regular shoes. Tags will stay on until they are worn though!

I plan on finding a VERY CHEAP pair for DS. It'll keep the sneakers he wears everyday dry in the event we do go outside in the snow.

I got DD a pair at costco. They were adorable and inexpensive. I figure that we would spend some time outside and I wanted her to experience snow without ruining her regular shoes.

DS is 16 months now and I plan on getting him a pair (my sources [aka my sisters] are checking for a hand me down pair!). We love being out in the snow so he'll get good use of them.
