Just when I thought this was getting annoying, my FRIENDS at Rallye Lexus sent me a SECOND reminder that the car needs service. But this time, I noticed that Thomas has a middle name as seen by the initial in the letter below

Dear Thomas P Chen,

According to our records, your 2002 Lexus ES 300 may be due for its 70,000 mile service. Regular maintenance is health insurance for your vehicle and can provide significant savings.

My response:

To "MY FRIENDS" at Rallye Lexus,

Somehow, I got on your mailing list as a man named Thomas P. Chen. I can assure you that I am not Thomas P. Chen. I am a female, not a male. I do not own a Lexus. I cannot afford a Lexus on my salary. But Thomas P. Chen can and the odds are he is sitting on the shoulder on the LIE with a stalled engine because YOU people, MY friends at Rallye Lexus, sent ME a very important email pertaining to HIS car. His car will not be properly serviced due to poor notification. Help Thomas. Love Thomas. Give the man a free oil change or two. Then, if you are feeling REALLY generous, give me a nice SC like this:

I know this is upseting you, but why don't you consider this spam and be done with your day?

Depending on your mail client, you can easily check spam and/or make a rule automatically deleteing this email when it comes in.

At this point, it amuses me. This time, instead of responding to them through the email they sent which is probably automated, I went to corporate. I assure you I am well adjusted. I need a little levity after a long and crappy day.

I told DH about this and he was laughing too. He's a dealer. He said all his internet stuff is automated and he's sure its probably happened with him before too because people don't always give their correct emails He likes your approach!
