Do you think this is strange (re. us selling house)
We have been listed with a real estate agent for 5 months now and in those 5 months not one of their brokers ever showed the house. We did have 3 open houses and 2 broker open houses were the majority of people that came to that one were from the real estate agency. It dawned on me yesterday and it makes me feel like they aren't doing their part. I know they are selling houses because I see their signs go up and down. Opinions?

do you mean that nobody has wanted to look at it at all?
Or were YOU the one at the house when the possibly buyer came?

I know you live in Farmingdale & I have NO idea who you are using, but I know who I'd list with if I lived in that area.
Larry Theodore from Weichart, I know him & I know he was the # 1 seller for weichart nationally. He is an outstanding person & he focuses his business in Farmingdale/ Massapequa.

Larry Theodore from Weichart, I know him & I know he was the # 1 seller for weichart nationally. He is an outstanding person & he focuses his business in Farmingdale/ Massapequa.
I live in Fdale and Larry Theodore is all over this neighborhood, lol. I would list with Weichert too.

We have had I guess 8 families come look at the house (we are the sellers). The people that come have their agents with you but they are with various real estates. I signed my contract with Bon Anno and not 1 (including the agent I signed with) has shown the house from their. When people come I usually stay in the livingroom with the baby and stay out of the way.
Dh didnt want to sign with them orginally but I did and the reason being when we bought the house they were the listing agents and I figured the agent would know alot about the house and also point out all the work that we did since he remembers what it looks like. After about a month DH said we should have went to Larry Theodore. I defintly will not be re-signing with them in January! I know the market is slow but I am starting to feel like it was a waste listing with them.

well i sold my condo last year and have been looking at houses ever since..
I can tell you that the majority of the time, when i was selling my condo, I was the one showing the condo...NOT my realtor. If i could not be there or my DH, she stepped in and was there to show the condo.
And i have seen well over (no joke) 50+ houses and RARELY have i seen the listing agent at the house that i went to look at. 99% of the time it is MY agent who is showing me the house.
I think this is just the way that it goes. For the most part the agents do the open houses.
But if you are unsatisfied with your agent i suggest you really talk to them about it.
And if you are still unsatisfied then change agencies!

I think I explained myself incorrectly, sorry (mommy brain  ) None of the agents that work for that company have brought any of their clients to see our home. I dont expect the listing agent to be here when we show it.

Larry's awesome, I know him for years & it has nothing to do with real estate. I just know he is a proven powerhouse for your area & I know you have been listed for a while. Your house looks beautiful, it should have been sold.
