Do you think that celebrities really wear the drugstore make-up brands they endorse?
For some reason, I am curious about this. Does Halle Berry really wear Revlon make-up on a regular basis? I would think celebs would wear more high end stuff. Thoughts?

And wasn't there a whole story once with Sybil Shepard saying something negative about whichever brand she was endorsing, like "I would never use that" or something...?

No only do the celebs not use the products, if a story is built around it (like for proactiv) it's entirely bs.
All the contract does is make people want to use the product if they like the celeb and keep the celeb from publicly endorsing anything that they actually like

I used to work as a nanny for a very famous celebrity and yes she did wear pharmacy makeup .

I'd believe that was true. I don't think they wear all drugstore make-up, but maybe some Channel, some Mac and some Revlon. I do that... my foundation is Mac, brushes are Mac and Channel and some lipglosses and eye makeup is from a drugstore.

Well, I can telll you from my sister the LOreal spokewomen use the LOreal hair color .........the obvioiusly don't apply it themselves .........but they do use the products.
I don't know about the makeup -

I think the make up artists use the products for the shoot, and then spokeswomanis probabaly given free guifts--so she may use iy when she does her own makeup, but I doubt they are devoted to it.
Not fashion related, but I saw Lee Ann Womack on Chelsea Lately & she was talking about the ads she did for Banquet Frozen dinners & when asked, she admitted she didn't eat them, but said they were good & that everyone should buy them.

i think they're contractually obligated to (at least some of the time) so if someone were to ask what they were wearing, they could say "revlon lip gloss shade xxx.." etc.
kind of like how when britney had her pepsi contract, she was always photographed with a pepsi and got in trouble for having a coke
