Do you think it is silly to register for 2 bedding sets?
I have a lot of bigger items purchased from my registery and the invitations didnt even go out yet! My mother suggested to add another bedding set b/c she thinks it's good to have two sets. What do you think? I am also doing another registery at Pottery Barn Kids and did find a bedding set that would go with the colors of the room.

i don't think 2 bedding sets are necessary..i would just get extra sheets to go with the first bedding set

Honestly, you don't use the comforter. And I find the bumpers a PITA to change frequently and you'd have to lift up the mattress to change the skirt. But if you really wanted, you could alternate them when you take them off to wash. Just wouldn't be worth the expense to me.
I'd register for a second of bigger items like the pack n play for your mom's house, if you plan on spending time over there. It's nice to have somewhere for the baby to nap and play safely, since most grandparents don't have baby proof houses.

This is what im planning on doing also- i just bought extra crib sets too. To me its not necessary to have too, but hey, if you got the room to store it and someone will buy it for you - why not?

I agrew with the other girls - Id add another larger item that you will need and use more to the registry - a 2nd sent of bedding wont really be necessary,. JMO
