Disney Itinerary
This is our first time taking the kids to Disney. They will be 7,6 and almost 4. We are going Nov 19-24th. Its a tues-sun. We have 3 day park hopper tickets and want to do the Christmas party. What days would you do parks/party? We were thinking of having saturday as a pool day and flying home Sunday. Would you do a park the day you arrive?? The christmas party is on Tues, Thurs or Fri.
Any advice for this disney rookie???

I would do the parks Wed, Thurs, Fri since I don't like doing the parks on arrival or departure days (I feel that is wasteful) and you want Saturday to be a rest day. Honestly if it were me, I would go Wed, Thurs, Sat as park days and use Friday as the pool day to relax (also pool on arrival and departure days). Is the party part of your "three day" tickets or in addition too? If thats the case, go the night that you are mostly just doing pool/rest the entire morning/afternoon.

I would do Wed, Fri & Sat - park days & do the pool in the morning of the party and head to the party at 4pm on Thurs.

Yes, I agree with this. OR, if you have an earlier flight on Tuesday, do the Christmas party Tuesday night, then do the parks Wednesday, Thursday, down day Friday and Saturday do a park.

Agreed.
I'd be hesitant about the xmas party on arrival day because I'm paranoid about delays. Maybe if the flight was super early, but I know if that was us, then I wouldn't want to make it a late night anyway.

We don't do a park on arrival day, we do Disney Springs. I would do parks on Wed Thurs and Sat (with the xmas party on Friday night). or Wed Fri Sat (with the xmas party Thurs night). During the day of the xmas party you can just relax at the resort pool.

Disney Itinerary
The Christmas party will be less crowded on Thursday. So that would be my pick. Arrival day I tend to go to Disney Springs. A typical Tues-Sun trip for us would be: Tuesday, Disney Springs, Wednesday, Thursday park, Friday pool, Saturday & Sunday park OR, switch Friday and Saturday depending on the crowd calendar. I absolutely hate Magic Kingdom on Saturdays.

Are you landing early on Tuesday? Since it’s Thanksgiving week I’d do parks Tues, Weds, Christmas Party Thurs, pool fri, park Sat and depart on Sunday.

We haven't booked our flight yet. Debating between the 6am or the 11am. Its not Thanksgiving week, it's the week before. I'm leaning towards wed, fri, sat for the parks and Christmas party Thurs.

I would do the same. This way you can relax on your arrival day and then Thurs night the party should be a little bit cheaper and less crowded vs. Friday.

Just be aware that if you are planning to go to the party on Thursday (which is what I would do - it's more crowded on Fridays), Friday may be a late day. The party runs till 12 or 12:30 so if you are planning on staying for the whole thing, it might be tough getting up early on Friday.
