Just a friendly reminder to check the hand sanitizers you buy to make sure they are at least 70% alcohol content, which is the minimum recommended to be effective against Covid-19. Many hand sanitizers I find available are less than that, such as GermX, so be sure to check.
I just went to the CDC website to double check. It's actually at least 60 percent...
Prevention
Handwashing is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family from getting sick. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating or preparing food. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

We had been told in March by our hospital’s infectious disease physicians to aim for 70% or higher for greater efficacy but if evidence since then shows 60% is as effective then that just widens our options. It’s so hard to find any sanitizing agent, anything is better than nothing. Thanks for the update.
I had thought 70 too. But when I saw the germ x available I Googled it and 60 came up.
So maybe they changed it?
I too prefer higher but I guess beggars can't be choosers lately. Lol

I have a lot of Bath and Body Works ones I have received as gifts (or extras from ones I’ve given teachers as gifts) - they smell nice and are 71% alcohol.

sometimes I luck out. I just bought a 4 pack of Lysol spray at Costco. I want to stock up for school. Sometimes I see see wipes and buy the amount I am allowed to.
