Why are they even still there?
In light of what took place a few weeks ago it makes all the sense in the world to take extra precautions until we know that all threats have been mitigated. Better safe than sorry at this point in time. Once tensions calm over the coming weeks the heightened security hopefully will not be needed. 
They are not needed anymore and there was no reason for them to be pushed out like that after using them. If this is how the new administration is, it is scary for our troops.
You know what's also scary? Russia putting a bounty on our troops heads. What did Trump do about it? I'm having a hard time remembering what actions he took. Just wondering because I don't remember if you made a post expressing your outrage at the time. And then there was that time he called them all losers and suckers. And the time he told a war hero he likes soldiers that don"t get captured. And the time he said he deserved a purple heart. And the time he attacked an actual purple heart receipent. There may be other instances he dishonored our military and treated them like disposable trash. It's hard to remember them all. Remember that word you used - hypocrisy? Do you know the definition? It can be used over and over with your posts.
Did we go to war in the last 4 years?
What does that have to do with my post?

That is a nice gesture. It's the least he could do since they're there because of him in the first place. Maybe he could've offered up his hotel to begin with.
Trump was out while this happened so not everything will be Trumps fault anymore.

I also heard a veteran/congressman (don’t know the name) stepped up and told them they can pack as many as possible into his home. I know it wouldn’t help much but the gesture...

Just showing you that while you call out others for hypocrisy your own actions are hypocritical. You couldn't even respond to my post about how trump repeatedly dishonored our military every chance he got. But I think it's great that he's finally offering his hotel. I wonder if he'll charge their stay though.
Back to hypocrisy. It's ok. It's human nature. You are human right? You're not one of these bots are you?

They also HAD hotel rooms. They were given hotel rooms. This situation was in between so let’s not act like trump was a hero. Hotels canceled reservations.
