as soon as they announced that Snapple would be matching the 250,000 for their charity I knew that Brett won. Holly deserved to win based on the game and snapple knew that so when the Donald told them that he would be picking brett, Snapple offered to match the 250,000 offer. At least in my mind this is what happened

I agree completely. Since they both received the 250k, Trump manages to look good either way. Did Holly deserve to win? Maybe. But if Trump had picked Holly over Brett, after all of his health issues, he would have been boo'ed out of the building. With them both receiving 250k, it didn't matter who won. Jeez, even Holly's 5 year old was routing for Brett.

And this is why The Donald will have more money than I will everr see in the next 100 lifetimes...he's always thinking ahead and is a wise business man. The Donald just scored major points with most of the Glam Rock fans of the eighties and 90's...he wasn't thinking about Brett at all..he was thinking about himself!!!!

I would suggest changing the title of the post so people who didn't see the finale, won't find out the results

as far as him getting sympathy votes? absolutely not. my friend has a close friend who worked on the show and she said it was determined a long time ago that he won. before any of his health issues arised

i don't know if it was sympathy, also remember holly did lose a couple of times as project manager, brett never lost as project manager so that also goes into the equation, he has a better track record

Bret deserved to win. As a whole he was a more consistent player. Holly was manuplitive and even though she raised all that money for charity she steam rolled over everyone and didnt seem to care who she took down with her. She lost a few tasks as PM and he didnt. As for the Snapple stuff, everyone said Brets tasted better and his ad was better.

Trump totally made the right call!

I didn't watch the finale, but from the episodes I did see I knew Bret was going to win. He blew Holly away IMO. (again, not speaking about the finale)

It's a better story having Brett Michaels win - and if he makes any appearances in the next season of Celebrity Apprentice, I think he'd get more ratings than HRP.

Also - everyone made such a big deal out of how much money Holly raised for that one challenge - but part of the reason she made over $300,000 was because Sharon Osbourne raised over $100,000 and as the winner, Holly got all of Sharon's money. I mean, she was a very good fund raiser, but I didn't necessarily think she was a great team player or showed a lot of creativity in her ideas.

Just watched dvr. I am a big fan of the show and even though Holly was not nice and horrible to work for sometimes. She did deserve to win. She had the best performance in terms of project manager and she did win the most for her charity. Brett was very good too and I was rooting for him all the way and he is my personal favorite so to me I'm glad it was a tie without saying that. I knew he won when Bret said he did not go all the way there to leave a loser. I thought they were both awesome and happy at how it turned out.

ETS I was when Brett said that he would take the sympathy card since Holly was playing the hotness card.

Holly was not better than Bret the whole time. Holly simply has a more "businesslike" demeanor. That doesn't make her more creative or more effective. She is a tremendous fundraiser, yes, but there's more to this than just getting people to donate money. She lacks a lot of creativity and doesn't do a fantastic job managing people. I lost a lot of respect for her when she took all the credit for Cindy's room - and I can't stand Cindy either.

Bret was a more consistent project manager, too. Didn't Holly lose 2 tasks as project manager? He certainly has a different way of working and dealing with people, but he was far more creative and IMHO, more effective.

Illness or not, he was a much smarter choice. He has a bigger fan base, will increase ratings for future appearances, and is generally more marketable than Holly is.

I think they both did a great job, but I really disagree that Holly was better or even more consistent. They just have different styles. Holly just appeared more "businesslike" to me -- but that doesn't make her more effective at the end of the day.
