Did anyone buy an extra Elmo live to sell on ebay
It seems like they are going for alot on Ebay - up to $100. I may order another to sell....anyone else do this?

they came out today, so I dont think they have preorder... I bought one today when target open (in FL) and they only had 6 (and 1 was not working).. they had a limit of 2 per costumer

I just bought one. I had preordered one but thought it was a lot and cancelled it but got sucked into the hype this morning
Kohls is the only place online so far that has them in stock

I just ordered 2 from Kohl's.com and automtically got 15% off. I am definitely keeping one, but might sell the second on ebay.

I just ordered one from Kohls. DS loves Elmo, but just not sure if It was the right decision. He has a WOW WOW Wubsy and Pablo live doll, and as much as he loves them...he doesnt play with them ALL the time. I think I caught up in the hype, LOL!
ETA: if I don't keep it, I wont sell is for more money. I will either give as it a gift or sell it for the amount I paid

I'm all for making money but I wont do this b/c I think its unfair to do that to the parents who want to buy them but cant cause they are sold out and have to pay more on ebay instead.
I want to get one for Noah and don't have the money now and know they won't be available when I do b/c people are buying them up to charge more for.
JMO...no flames. I know money is important in today's economy and I do understand why people do it..I just won't if I can find one when I go to buy.

Thanks!! I ordered one! Hopefully I dont get an email saying the ordered was cancelled b/c they took to many orders.. i know Kohls has a habit of that. I only ordered one, dont have ebay account.

I do not do that. I thought about it quite a few times but I can't seem to bring myself to sell toys for $$$$ more than they are worse. I just buy what I need so other people get their fair share.
I also do not believe in spending $$$$$ more for a toy on ebay because it's the "in" thing. I will wait a few months for the hype to go away.
EJ will be 18 months at Christmas. I don't think he cares about having a particular toy on Christmas day.

I see what you are saying but it is a simple case of supply and demand. I would start the bidding low and if people want to pay more for it, who am I to refuse the $$?

I totally agree!! I bought one for Andrew just because it was soo hyped up and I know he probably won't even use it.
I am going to cancel it again. I need to stay strong

We did order one with the idea that out kids would like it. As it turns out we got another Elmo toy in the house after we pre-ordered Elmo live.
Needless to say our kids hate Elmo, they cry hysterically when we break out the toy so we will be putting it up on Ebay. We are not starting the bid at some ridiculous high price, we will start it at face value.

I actually agree with DOnna on this one.
But I think your intention are great if you plan on selling it to someone at cost. Its not in me to sell a child a a toy at 100+ dollars when their parents cant afford it. If dd gets one at cost thats one thing but you wont catch me giving a single dime more to another ebayer who increases the price. I hope supply/demand kicks them in the face...SOrry I am not for it.

Well, I for one think you can't get them anywhere because everyone bought them to sell on ebay!!!
I have no desire for a $60 red talking furry toy, even though DD loves Elmo. The other talking ones we have suffice.
I remember last year the Tickle Me Elmo's were a huge flop. Everyone bought them to sell on ebay and couldn't get much more than they paid for them.

I've gobbled up things to sell a lot in the past. I remember the spiderman web blaster from like 5 years ago with the silly string foam cans. I sold those suckers for like $50 each!! It paid for my kids xmas
