Dermatology, is this odd

I maxed my yearly deductiable out, so I'm trying to see every MD I need to see because my co-pay is zero.

last Derm Appt 2018, figured I'd have a cancer screen and my psoriasis flare, plus other issues, most he didnt address

But, he states, he saw something with irregular boarders on the back of my leg, I didn't know I had something there.

The Dr, said, I'll take it and send it to the lab. I thought he was taking a scrapping but I just looked, he removed it all.

Is this normal? to remove something on my first visit ever to this office? he didn't tell me if I'm going to scar and I didnt think to ask it happened so fast.

Of course, I wonder if he did it to make more money Chat Icon Chat Icon

adding: think he order 4 nonsense medications for me to take. He suggested a facial... I broke out after my hospital stay last month. Mild almost gone.

They charge $90 for a facial.. All farcical cause my face to turn red, so odd to suggest this

Not odd. I’ve had to have 1 thing removed from me at a cancer screening and they just took the whole thing then too. It was on my foot. Maybe each dr is different?

I guess it's normal. TY Phyllis, I guess in a few weeks I'll know it's cancer

It's normal. If they suspect something is cancerous, they remove the entire mole. If it is cancerous, they will most likely need to remove even more as the cancer might be deeper.
