How do these new trees go together? Are they 3 pieces?
My tree is so old- we have to put each branch into the pole- omg what a PIA!!

I remember having to do that growing up!!!

The new ones are 3 sections! I put section one in the stand, plugged it in. Put the next section in, that section lighted instantly, and same for the top section. Literally up in like 2 minutes, and I didn't even have to fluff the branches really at all!!

OMG. Yeah DH has been clamoring to get a new tree for so long because of this. Not to mention ours is not pre-lit either.
But i hate to get rid of such a nice tree that is still perfectly good, you know?
But the pole has about 10 different colors- and you have to find the branches that have that color sticker on the tip....and put them in to the pole in that order. And now the stickers are coming off so we have a whole pile of unknowns that we have to figure out by which section is missing a branch.
Such a pain in the arse!

Mine is 3 pieces and NO wires to connect for the lights. Everything is built into the pole so once they click together you just plug it into the wall.

I went to Lowes last night - walked out with a tree! Chat Icon I'm SO insanely happy with this tree. I cannot wait to put it up. We prefer multicolored lights on the tree vs white, but the multi now is all gross bright blue, green, red LED. So we went with a prelit warm white tree that is insanely gorgeous and full. I figured when the lights crap out at least we have a beautiful tree that I can string the multi lights we want when the time comes. So worth it to have such a beautiful tree for just over $200.

So I ended up at Lowes today and got a nice one and it was 25% off. It's a GE Hampton one, looks pretty real, and has 1500 LED. I almost went with the one Hofstra posted above, but I had to walk away from it because it was just a little too expensive (I love that one though!)

That’s the one we got!!!

I have the hardest time looking at artificial trees in the stores without fluffing them all up. Chat Icon Years of growing up with a perfectionist of a mom - now I find myself doing the same to my son.

Our most recent tree I think we bought at Home Depot. I needed a specific size due to a small living room and low ceilings. I loved that tree so much that when the lights went I just cut them off and put lights on myself each year. We have since moved and the tree would be too small in our new place, so I'm using my older one and I think that one was from Frank's.... does that place still exist?

Franks burned down awhile ago. It was flower time before then, there’s now a dollar tree there! Memories!

This is gorgeous!!!

Every year I say I am going to buy a new one, and every year I end up putting my old pre-lit one up. It has tons of lights but one of the sets are out so the lights are a *little* sparse in one section.

Did you set it up yet? I decorated ours yesterday and I love it, it's so pretty and I love all of the lights. I don't LOVE that it doesn't hold my heavier ornaments well though without the branch sagging. That seems to be the problem with every single tree we have had though in recent years, and is why I keep getting new ones! I guess it's because they are plastic limbs, not metal like the old ones!

That is beautiful!

I tried talking S.O. into an artificial tree today . Home Depot had 20% off. I also saw some really nice ones in Big Lots. But it was a no go. He only wanted a real one.
