Why didn't you make posts like this when 45 called the CEO of Apple, "Tim Apple:? Of when he posted "cofeve"? Or when he could barely walk down a ramp? Or when he was rude to black female journalists? Or when he talked about injecting bleach into the human body?

I honestly could go on all day - seriously. Why wasn't this of concern to you previously?

Because when you're brainwashed you don't turn against your cult leader.

Hilarious because I have never liked Trump. Just didn’t like the other side more.

and focus on the one time that a known stutter has trouble with a word.

Just wanted to remind ADULTS that make fun of a known stutterer and call him stupid, low cognitive function, senile, has alzheimer's or dementia, "sleepy", or any other disgusting remark about the way they speak that there are CHILDREN who stutter or have other speech difficulties or special needs that are LISTENING TO YOU!

100% correct. The man has a stutter. To make fun of anyone with a disability is disgusting and he is an inspiration for many children suffering from the same speech impediment.

It is horrible but I have never heard anyone make fun of him because of his stutter. Just him rambling on about things.

That's the point. He isn't just rambling. He is getting stuck on a word or can't find the right word because of his disability. It has nothing to due with his cognitive ability.

100% correct. The man has a stutter. To make fun of anyone with a disability is disgusting and he is an inspiration for many children suffering from the same speech impediment.

I've had a stutter my whole life, and have spent many years trying to work around it. I know many people who have various speech impediments, of varying degrees, and varying types. Some of what Biden does is exactly what I do, and some of my friends do.

Many of us have a phrase to get us "unstuck". With Biden, it sounds like "Gimme a Break, Man" may be what he uses to get around a stuttering burst. To constantly pick on his phrasing *is* demeaning, and ridiculing his disability.

Thank you and I agree with both comments! If you personally know someone who has a stutter you will recognize that when he pauses it's not because he's "sleepy". It's because his mind is working to find a path around the speech pattern that causes a trigger. He didn't fall asleep at the wheel. The car is literally driving around a detour to reach its destination. These snide remarks are offensive to anyone with a speech difficulty who has worked hard to overcome their challenges and to those unable to overcome them. When Chris Christie was coaching Trump for the debate he told him to keep "tripping up" Biden so he would trigger his stutters. It's disgusting to use a person's disability against them and for personal gain. And it's wrong to say they're stupid or senile for it.

He is 78, not 40 and maybe if you can’t think fast enough anymore and can’t get your ideas out to lose your patience and tell people, man, give me a break, then this might not be for you.
I am waiting for the day they allow him to take questions not prepared and not kick the media out once they start asking them. I have seen it twice in 2 days. His speaker is not doing very well either as she dismissed the no masks as they were celebrating. Hypocrisy.

So it's ok to criticize a person's speech impediment as long as they're old. Got it. Honestly you could’ve switched out Biden and replaced him with Trump here and it would all still apply. Trump did and said A LOT of inappropriate things. After the 4 years that just transpired hypocrisy and double standard is the name of the game with some people. You should be used to it.

Thanks for twisting my words as I never said that. I would never make fun of anyone with a speech impediment. This goes way beyond this. This man doesn’t have the energy for this job. Did you watch him the first night? By 6pm he was done.

I totally think it is wrong to make fun of someone with a speech issue. I also think it is wrong to make fun of someone in the case of English being their second language. I think someone on here not this post but this board, made fun of melaina when she said “be best”.

Sad for anyone to make fun of anyone. I have a child with ADHD and so many never understood it. Hard to get no support.

Your words: "He is 78, not 40 and maybe if you can’t think fast enough anymore and can’t get your ideas out to lose your patience and tell people, man, give me a break, then this might not be for you."

You're saying if he can't get his words out fast enough (again, he has a known stutter) then he is not fit for the job. Sounds like you're saying any person who stutters is not fit for the job as any person with a stutter would have the same challenges in his position. That's not only ageism but ableism. Plenty of people with speech disfluencies go on to have positions of leadership and authority. It shouldn't be a disqualifier of qualification.

He did better than I would have the first night. I was exhausted just looking at his schedule. I wouldn't have been able to pull through such a long eventful day without a nap. And I'm nowhere near his age.

Wait a sec, u’re saying it’s demeaning and ridiculing when I pointed out his “gimme a break man” comment?!? This has zero to do with his stuttering disability, zero. He meant it as a sarcastic way to end his answer to the reporter. I have noticed his impediment and I would NEVER make fun of him because of that. He’s not my cup of tea but even if I really disliked him, making fun of his challenges is not something I do. And u know what...I can’t believe that this was even taken in such wrong way when there have been countless of posts in this forum from people actually making fun and yes rediculing politicians simply because they’re not liked. From insulting mental capacity, to derogatory name calling, to criticizing appearance, to not being to able to form sentences, etc, etc. The hypocrisy and double standard is astonishing tbh.

OMG for the LAST time it is NOTHING about a stutter.

It seemed like you have a problem with his ability to think fast and get his ideas out. I just pointed out that for people with a speech impediment that is a challenge.

and focus on the one time that a known stutter has trouble with a word.

U can clearly see his intention and tone when saying gimme a break, man in the clip from this NYPost article

Not sure if you're referencing me here, but I wasn't referring to any of your comments in my original post. Just wanted to make sure that was clear.

Def not. It was to address GoldenRod’s comment. I just quoted his last comment without deleting everything above that cause it’s a pain doing it when using my phone.

Thank you and I agree with both comments! If you personally know someone who has a stutter you will recognize that when he pauses it's not because he's "sleepy". It's because his mind is working to find a path around the speech pattern that causes a trigger. He didn't fall asleep at the wheel. 1) he said “good looking Marines”
2) this is a Q ANON “theory”. Are you a Q person? I know someone asked you on another thread and you didn’t address that.

Nope. You’re right. she never did.

Omg I am not a Q Anon person. Happy? Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thank you for clarifying. Even if some of us have different political views, I think we should try to agree that Q material should not be welcomed here.

It is horrible but I have never heard anyone make fun of him because of his stutter. Just him rambling on about things.

That's the point. He isn't just rambling. He is getting stuck on a word or can't find the right word because of his disability. It has nothing to due with his cognitive ability.

People are very quick to judge. I have the same type of dyslexia that GWB has. It can be very hard to pronounce certain words correctly because there is a hiccup ...I can hear it right in my brain. I can say it right in my head but then I have trouble speaking it sometimes. People made fun of him because of it too.
I hope we start finding more empathy as we heal.

Agree with the above-empathy and decency are sorely needed in politics and everywhere. Some bitter hearts thrive on toxicity, but for the rest of us- better off without it.

As for the comment Biden made, no one should be mocking him, and even if you take his words at face value--the frustrated sentiment is on point. The guy lays out a beyond ambitious, efficacious vaccine plan better than anything we have seen or heard since this mess began, and they're questioning whether it's good enouh for now?? Really??? I'd say the same thing to anyone who turned up their nose at Biden's realistic but ambitious plan. Gimme a break!

No reason this guy can't be in front of the press every day--and more importantly, it doesn't look like he is going to try to evade accountability by avoiding press conferences, or by doing anything else sketchy and irresponsible like what we have seen during the past four years. We have really been starved for transparency and accountability from our leadership--we have forgotten what we used to count on and expect.
