David Tutera, My Fair Wedding Host, Divorcing Husband -as they await the arrival of twins
While My Fair Wedding host David Tutera may share in the commitment joy of many couples as a celebrity wedding planner on his WE tv show, his own 10-year marriage is currently unraveling in court.
Tutera, who wed longtime partner Ryan Jurica in September 2003 in Vermont, where same-sex marriage is legal, is seeking to end his domestic partnership in California, where the couple live. (Same-sex marriage is not legally recognized in California.)
The couple separated on New Year's Day 2013, according to Los Angeles County Superior Court documents filed by Tutera on April 19 and obtained by PEOPLE. The filing, which cites "irreconcilable differences," also states that the two men are expecting the birth of twins via a surrogate in July.
Tutera is seeking full legal and physical custody of the twins, with visitation for Jurica. He also does not wish to pay spousal support and asks that Jurica be responsible for all legal fees related to their split and the division of property.

That's sad that they're splitting up while expecting twins. Too bad they can't work it out for the kids.
I'm slightly obsessed with My Fair Wedding, I have to admit lol.

How do you go from getting a surrogate to have your babies to divorcing in just a few months. Very sad!

How do you go from getting a surrogate to have your babies to divorcing in just a few months. Very sad!
I think just like straight relationships/marriages sometimes people think having a baby will fix things..

I'm thinking Jurica must have wronged david since he is unwilling to pay spousal support and requesting he pay all legal fees. The only way that would fly is if the brunt of fault for "irreconcilable differences" falls on the behavior of that person

This TMZ article says it's because Tutera has a sex addiction and hires sex escorts and prostitutes!!!!

i was separating and heading for divorce while i was VERY pregnant

Wow, if that is true then it's pretty harsh how he wants to keep his money and sole custody of kids and leave him with nothing.

seriously....I wonder what the surrogate is thinking right now?? The babies she is carrying already trapped in an ugly divorce & custody battle.
