how old was your DD when you put her in dance class? and what kind of program did you enrol her in?

My niece has been in dance for the past year and she is 4. She is in ballet.

Started this year, age 4.
She is in a 3-4 year old program.

my daughter is going to be 18 months old. i know she is really young still but i would love to get her involed ina program with other young kids. does anyone have any suggestions?

Cassidy had just turned 2 when she started. She's in her 2nd year now. She does tap/ballet...1/2 hour each.
Let me just warn you...it turns out to be pretty expensive, especially for such a young child. The monthly fee is not bad...about $45. But add in recital tickets ($23 each, we needed 9! ) costume ($125 ) pictures ($50)...it's not as cheap as it sounds!
