Curly haired ladies-question about haircuts
What do you tell your stylist to do when you go in for a cut? I want to encourage the curl but keep the length but don't want a TON of layers, either. What should I tell her?

I usually say I want long layers, but not a ton....but last time she didn't cut enough layers so it's just like one layer and I hate it. argh. I hate getting my hair cut, and I hate my curly hair!

I ask for long layers and to remove the some of the weight -- otherwise my hair gets heavy at the bottom and creates a triangle.

I used to ask for long layers and a lot of them. If you don't have enough it will just look bluky..

Most people have no clue how to cut curly hair. It took me 28 years to find someone who finally understands my hair, and that is because she has my exact hair!! I had so many terrible haircuts in my life b/c people always wanted to cut massive layers into my hair even though my hair isn't thick....
Anyway, my advice is to find someone who has your type of hair and go to them..!!
