Crib recalled!?!?!?!?
So we spent a TON of money on DD's crib, it was hand painted etc..it was really ridiculous but I wanted it...It is a dropside crib but never thought to even look if it was recalled or not bc the companies that were initially listed was not the company that made our crib...Well I was searching last night randomly and saw that the cribs were discontinued...do you think it's bc of the recall?? What should I do...I'm planning on calling the co this am and see what they have to say!!!
SOOO ANGRY!!!
ETA: It's a sleigh crib where the two ends are solid

Re: Crib recalled!?!?!?!?
the manufacturer may have decided to discontinue their dropside cribs..not necessary b/c they were part of a recall, but as a precaution in light of all the other dropside recalls.
or it could be that they just discontinued a model..companies do it all the time.

Re: Crib recalled!?!?!?!?
I would say they probably stopped making them - b.c they are recommending people not use drop side cribs so they might have lost a demand for them. If you searched and didn't find a recall on it then I would say probably the above reason is why it was discontinued.

Re: Crib recalled!?!?!?!?
my drop side crib was technically never recalled but the company was offering a kit to stabilize the drop side. We had it sent to us, and it's the same stabilization kit for all dropsides. i would look into it, it's just 2 metal brackets to screw in and stabilize the drop side and made in not movable.
