Crib pads/sheet or mattress protectors?
Is anyone using a crib pad to protect their mattress? I have the Carter's one, but I don't know if I need it...I have the "Ultimate Crib Sheet", what the heck do I need????

Yess!!! You definitely need this. Your baby WILL pee and poop through his clothes, never mind the spit-up!
I prefer regular sheets with crib pads over it. The ultimate crib sheet is good but IMO it's a pain in the butt to deal with all thos snaps and after washing it a couple of times it lifts up at the edges. The regular crib pads that you put over the sheet is so much nicer. And you can still see the sheet design on the sides if you don't have bumpers up.

Ohhhh! I thought the crib pad went UNDER the sheet? Are you talking about the sheet savers?

Re: Crib pads/sheet or mattress protectors?
We have the mattress pad under his sheet. We had a crib pad, it doesn't cover the whole crib, but used it maybe for a month, and never really needed it.
We've had to change DS's sheets in the middle of the night maybe twice since he was born and it was bc he spit up after getting himself all worked up in a tizzy.
