Credit Card Question---Again!
Ok, i got scammed (old news) and was charged $60. I called and contested it. My bank people said they will dispute the charge for me.
Well, i just checked my account and it says i was credited the $60 back!
BUT it says "CREDIT/CHECK CARD PROVISIONAL CREDIT"..... does that mean this is just temporary? That they may tkae it back out again?

they may take it back. they give you the credit while they are disputing the charge, so that you don't accure intrest on it. once company credits you, the cc company will take its credit back. If you are at fault, they will take it back after investigating.

no problem. For a small amount like that though, you probably won't have to worry about it. It costs them more to investigate.

I would still follow-up with a letter. They generally send out a dispute form for you to fill out - make sure you return it or they will take back the credit.
