Cpse/busing question/drop off zone question

Hi, I have triplet boys. One qualifies for a center based program. I am close to getting all 3 into an integrated program at the same school. However, I do not think I will be able to get busing (at least not through cpse) for all 3. I don't know what to do as the best school for my son is not that close by and has no parking lot. I cannot see having to circle around west queens looking for a spot and then attempt to cross huge streets with three toddlers when I only have two sets of hands - and one of my sons has mobility challenges :( what do others do? Do these schools usually have pickup drop off zones? Do you think they would give me the option of paying to bus the other two? Is the bus situation something I can work out with the school, or only through the district?

I am now seriously having to rethink out school choice. Ugh!

I live in Queens too so I feel your pain. Do you mind me asking which center it is?

For the busing, I believe they only go if they qualify. I don't think even paying is an option but I could be wrong on that. I would talk to the school. They are the ones who set up be busing anyway. Once they set it up, then I dealt with the bus company.

The school may have a loading/unloading area. I know where my kids go, the buses pull behind the school (there is no parking lot, it's a street-the school has a back entrance for the buses to let the kids off and then it's maybe 5 steps into the school). Maybe you could go and talk to the school. If you bring your kids a few minutes after the buses unload, maybe you could park there just to unload them for 5 minutes?

I'm sorry. That's really stinks. It's really not easy. Let us know how it turns out.

Why can't you get busing?
