We have a Britax Marathon. So far so good, It is on the large side though.

i love my evenflo symphony 65!! holds DS rear facing up to 35lbs, forward facing up to 65 lbs then booster up to 100lbs. and you dont have to rethread the straps to slide them up and down. and the LATCH makes it really easy to install. DS seems really comfy in it. and its pretty

we have the evenflo symphony 65 for dh car and ds seems pretty comfy in it.
in my car (the one ds is in 99% of the time) we have the britax advocate (the one with the side impact cushions)
ds is comfy in that as well.
They were both VERY easy to install. The britax is big - wider than the symphony.
I like them both.
eta: if it helps my husbands car is a prius and the sympony fits perfect. The seat is behind the passenger and there is still enough leg room in the front.
I drive a ford edge and the britax is installed behind the passenger seat as well. Neither my husband or myself have a problem sitting in the passenger seat. Still lots of leg room etc.
Its actually more comfortable (leg room and having the passenger seat more reclined) having the convertible car seats vs the infant car seats in both cars
they are both rear facing

We just bought the Britax Advocate CS and love it.. pretty big but no complaints!
