Car Seat Questions
Did anybody get the infant-toddler car seat instead of using just an infant one first? What did you think of it? Did you need to buy something like a snuzzle or use towels to keep the infant snug?
If you did buy an infant car seat first, is it possible to use that car seat in a car without a base?

Yes it is possible to use it without the base. It's just annoying cause when you want to take the carseat out of the car, you have unstrap it, unfasten the seatbelt tightener it comes with, which is very annoying and hard, then do it all over again when you put the seat back in. (Fasten, tighten, level, etc.)
The base does make life 150% easier.
You could do the reg carseat if you want, it's just that i wouldn't wake up a sleeping baby, and I know my DD has some of her best naps by falling asleep in the carseat then continueing it in her seat in the house.

Just to agree with above, you can use the carseat without a base, it just is more work.
Unless you really, really have no money to spare I would get the true infant seat. It is so much more convenient and comfortable for the baby.
