Capitol incident

No mention of it? Is it because it wasn’t a white trump supporter who did it? Where is the outrage for police deaths? We’re is the outrage for lack of mental health counseling?

ANOTHER capitol officer murdered but silence on this.

Attacks on Asians and SILENCE, no outrage on the tv. No marches. No rallying. A baby was attacked for goodness sake!!

It’s horrifying that none of this gets mentioned or the coverage that black lives matters gets. Open your eyes.

Re: Capitol incident

I was waiting for someone to post about this as I just happened to turn on the tv and see it as it was unfolding.

This board is only good for certain agenda’s obviously.

So funny as my hubby came home from the movies yesterday and was like what is going on as he didn’t hear about it. He immediately says are they going to blame Trump? I said oh I am sure they will.

It was headline news everywhere so nobody missed any of these events.

Perhaps nobody is talking about it on here because it's not only the weekend which is usually dead on LIF but for Catholics it's also the most holy of days with Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter.

Stop creating some false drama about people not caring about things just because Trump is out of office. It's REALLY ridiculous. You have done the same thing MANY times on this board and then people will respond to you with their thoughts or with pertinent information about the topic you post and then you mostly ignore them. It's false outrage.

Ha to the Easter weekend comment. Chances are that it will disappear since it doesn’t fit the media’s narrative. The fact is no one knows why he attacked and there has to be an investigation.

So terrible. I awoke to the news. I was really busy yesterday and did not listen. I feel horrible for the officers family.

Yep and it was on for hours on TV last night and all over social media.
They know who he is and his background and this IS the politics board but so many things are being ignored now.

The first three posters on here don't like it when someone finally loses patience with them and calls them ignorant, which I agree we shouldn't do.

But then they come on here with this insulting insinuation about a lack of posts about one of the million things that are going on, twisting the absence to fit their agenda by implying certain posters wouldn't care about the attack. I would venture to say that's just as bad.

Of course the attack was horrifying. I was deeply saddened when I heard about it.

This happened yesterday and you posted this earlier today. People have jobs and lives. I was on the baseball field for hours today. It's a holiday weekend.

Grow up.

False equivalency. If we had, it would be based on fact considering how he made it easier for the mentally ill to get guns. LINK HERE I'm sure knives would have been just as cool with him too.

Some people just like to hear themselves talk no matter if it makes any sense, has any relevance or is rooted in any actual fact. The redundant, whiny posts accusing people of not caring anymore are laughable as it couldn't be further from the truth.

Blame whoever you want if you can draw a logical connection. You can't, but say what you want.

My point is that is Trump was in office, they would automatically blame him. Biden will not be blamed for this. There is a double standard and it is obvious on this board alone.

I had COVID and focused on getting better.

The real question is, why on earth do you keep coming back with your 50 screen names after being banned over and over again??? Could you be more desperate and sad? You're the LIF cockroach.

Capitol incident

Biden didn’t tell this person to march down to the Capitol and fight for him. That’s why he’s not being blamed. The actions on January 6 were a direct result of the president’s words. So how are these two things remotely comparable. It’s horrible and tragic but Biden didn’t incite this.

I'm tired of the assumption that if you didn't like Trump or his administration or his policies or his tweets...then you are an on-your-knees worshiping Biden lover.
I think Trump is the worst president we have had in recent history. I think Trump caused much harm to the US.
None of this means that I think Biden is a great president or has every policy right.
Not liking Trump does not equate to loving Biden.
That point gets missed a lot.

Can’t the same be said for Trump supporters???!!

Where’s the outrage of a cop dying? Does blue lives not matter anymore because Trump isn’t president.

Hear how stupid the above sounds? So why ask the question??!!!

Also I don’t think anyone can compare what happened now to what happened on January 6th. Completely different situations if someone can’t see that it’s a clear example on what’s wrong right now in this country.

I’m not a Biden supporter nor a Trump supporter.

Capitol incident

The event was covered. The difference is that it was one person who attacked and not a group of thousands who were incited by a sitting President. There is a difference to the attacks and hence the coverage that was issued.

As far as the racist attacks again Asians, I agree there has not been as much coverage as other racist attacks previously. There were though rallies as Stony Brook had one about a week ago.

Grow up.

Please, if this was on Trumps watch you know this page would be hopping to accuse him of allowing the mentally ill to do something like this.

False equivalency. If we had, it would be based on fact considering how he made it easier for the mentally ill to get guns. LINK HERE I'm sure knives would have been just as cool with him too.

He is gone so let’s blame Biden then for this or are we not allowed to do that?

Blame whoever you want if you can draw a logical connection. You can't, but say what you want.

My point is that is Trump was in office, they would automatically blame him. Biden will not be blamed for this. There is a double standard and it is obvious on this board alone.

THIS. Trump was THE WORST President in History. Anyone who supports him STILL is a racist f@ck themselves. It's not an opinion, fact, end of discussion. The amount of racist people on this board is astounding. Oh and I'm not a Democrat. Typically before ***** came into power, I was a straight down the line Republican, no matter what. But since I'm not a racist, uneducated f@ck, I could not vote for Trump. Between ***** Incarnate and Biden, well, I may not love Biden, but there was no choice. I am hoping for a time when we can have decent choices in politics again and maybe actually have a real choice. Politicians are all awful people as a rule, but there can be degrees of awfulness that can be lived with.
