Can I opt my children out of test
Can I opt my children out of the NYS Assessment test? One of them has a learning disability, has taken the test in the past and bombed it. What are the ramifications if any?

Yes. You just have to send a letter to the school.
Tons of people do it.
I did it last year and will continue to.
No ramifications at all.
