Callahan Traded to Tampa Bay
Not sure how I feel about this. My first thought is its a ****** deal considering St. Louis age. I know he's a great player but we wont get staying power out of him.
I hate that the Rangers are always looking for a quick fix.
Also just saw that Gaborik was traded to the Kings!

Callahan Traded to Tampa Bay
I'm sick over this. I don't think Cally was worth the money he was asking for. But I also think we gave up way too much for a guy who only has 1 year left on his contract and is 38 years old. One player does not a team make. I'm so done with watching our management sit on the sidelines at the draft.
If we don't start building from within the draft and home-growing our talent to play our system from the start, we're going nowhere fast.
Sigh...I'm starting to accept the fact that the 1994 Cup is probably the only one I will ever see in my lifetime.

This!! I am sooooo sad to see Cally go but I really think he is worth more than what they are getting.
He will always be a Ranger in my eyes. I felt he was sooo good for the team too.
Oh well, lets see what happens.

Stinks. I'm going to miss Captain Cally. I didn't think they would let this happen, especially how highly the coach speaks of him.
