Your own pull is a soft pull so it will not affect the scores
Myfico.com gives you an accurate equifax score and report and you can buy a transunion score and report as well.
Since a few years back, you can not get your own experian score.
Annualcreditreport and all those sites will give you credit reports but BOGUS credit scores.
Please check creditboards for more info.:)
Sidenote- many dealers use auto enhanced score which means its a credit score but how you paid your auto loan will carry more weight which usually is to the consumer's advantage.

Creditkarma is a good place to do a quick check, and it's free. But it only checks transunion.
Auto lenders use their own algorithm and scoring methods as Jess pointed out above, but really you only need to know if there is a problem on your report, they're usually pretty close to your regular score unles syou'vehad a repo or the like
