BTDT Moms: Question regarding labor and fetal movement

I am aware that there is LESS fetal movement the closer one gets to the birth due to cramped "living conditions". I was curious to know if any of you experienced noticeable fetal movement at the onset or during labor. Please describe if you can. TIA!

Re: BTDT Moms: Question regarding labor and fetal movement

YES.

I knew something was coming because I lost my mucous plug and Alex, who was otherwise a somersaulter in my belly, just STOPPED moving totally, for 2 days. I did everything I could to get her to move, and was so worried that I almost went to the hospital. I figured, I'll go to sleep and if I still don't feel her in the AM, I'll go.

I woke up at 5am to her moving like CRAZY, and then the contractions started hitting, bit time. She was moving a lot during my whole labor.

Thanks! You would think this kid would be slowing down, but she is more active than ever. DH watches the belly for sport now.

I want to believe that every movement that the baby makes is my mother's spirit talking to me somehow. Mom ALWAYS made her presence known. She was quite the attention seeker!!!Chat Icon

Landon was very active up until the day I went into labor. I don't know if he stopped moving or if the cramps and contractions distracted me from noticing him move. You saw the video of my belly moving in my profile... that was taken at 41 weeks.
