Blankets for 2+ year olds... Thoughts?
I was thinking about starting to put a little blanket in with my daughter (2yo) when she sleeps.
What was the youngest that you put a blanket in the crib for your dc? Is this still considered dangerous with regards to choking, etc?

Honestly My DS (3yo) has had a blanket since he was young.
For the last 6 months he sleeps with at least 2 blankets.... One is a big fleece Thomas throw he loves, and the other is his Thomas Comforter. Sometimes I find other blankets from the living room in there too!

She's always had a blanket.
We just bought her two more comforters recently. I'd say after she could cough and walk, I stopped worrying completely about that. But under 6m it was always a very light blanket. Now its whatever we can keep ON her all night long.

My 2 year old sleeps with multiple blankets, stuffed animals, and a pillow pet.

Since about 1. He has about 7 blankets, 10 stuffed animals and 5 soft fabric books...he likes his stuff

Ds has blankets since he was 4 days old. He hated the swaddle. He is 2.

At around a year and half old my DD was sleeping with 2 toddler comforters in her bed and a pillow and she had her 2 baby blankets with her in the crib since she was 6-7 months old. There is nothing to worry about. At 2 they know how to move around, pull the blankets off and on them, etc.

My sons have always had blankets. Now they sleep with a heavy one and two knitted ones. My 8 month old also does.

DD started with a blanket around 2. Now at 3 she sleeps with 3 blankets, 4 Care Bears, a ladybug pillow thing, a real pillow and several books

About the same here ... an only because it was summer when she was younger (or swaddled).

Thank you for all the responses!
I'm going to see if I can start getting her to use one. It's hard to maintain the temperature in her room, and it would be good to have one in there for her.
