Birthday party- Friends/Family
ok so for my oldest DD we're having a family birthday party this weekend and a friend thing on her actual birthday at a place.
We have family who has kids who are of a similar age, should we invite them to the family, friends or both parties?
We've told them about both and got an odd reaction, so i wanted some other ladies opinions!

I do immediate family at the house -
and invite all of my cousins w/ kids to the 'friend' party

I would keep them separate.
I don't have any nieces or nephews. All our cousins live overseas.
We have been celebrating with family (grandparents and our brothers) the weekend before. We have kiddie birthday parties the weekend after.
