Birth Certificate??? Babies born in 2005.

Birth Certificate??? Babies born in 2005.
When Emma was born Southampton town sent me a "certificate of live birth" with all her info then we received a "certificate" from NYS with just who, sex, when, where to who she was born (Her birth certificate). this was 2002.
When Jeremy was born all SH town sent us was a "cerificate of live birth". I called them to see if we were going to get a birth certificate like Emmas and they said in 2005 that they didnt do those. I dont know what to think.
Does anyone have an actual birth certificate for a baby born in 05?
I want to request a copy but if I was supposed to get one from NYS or SH town when he was born I dont think I should have to pay the $30 fee!

You know - I think I only rec'vd a live birth certificate. DD was born in 05.

I only recv'd a certificate of live birth-
I remember thinking- wow- this is it- it looks like something they printed up real quick in MS WORD....

For Elena (in 2005), all I received was a paper called a "certificate of live birth." But it doesn't look anything like a 'certificate,' if that's what you mean.
