I am an American. If I need to move back, then I should be able to vote. I may just be returning (after 20 years), so my vote counts. It depends on what benefits I get, but that’s none of your business.
I left (to study) in 2003 in Germany. I thought GW was bad. I was sadly mistaken. Then I went to Australia. Spent a few years there and have now been in Germany where they take care of me nicely. I am a resident here and I could get citizenship. But that means I would have to give up my US passport. It’s a hard thing to decide as I spent half my life in America and half overseas. I’m not really sure what to do.
But one thing is sure: I file taxes for the US. And F you Valentinebaby for saying that I don’t have the right to vote. You are so fneeening ignorant. I have the right as an American.

ETA: you should look at voting rights of people who live overseas. My ex-H had voting rights in Australia when he was in Germany. Some countries expire it, but the US does not. That’s basically for taxes. So if you want to sit there and fight against voting rights, then please go to the IRS and fight against them. I pay my taxes and I get use of embassies and consulates. How else am I going to ge my passport renewed.
But just stay sheltered in LI. 
ETA2: We also get votes in the primary. You might want to get educated in that because you seem to not be.

Tell me how you (collectively) would feel that you don’t deserve to vote as an American? Does VB even have any idea how difficult it is to vote here? How I have to apply every year just to vote. Her comments about how much she doesn't like this country and how she has not lived here in a very long time and doesn't plan to come back anytime soon, doesn't make sense to vote, IMO.
It ALWAYS makes sense to vote. She doesn't hate this country, she hates Trump. Big difference.
I live here and I'll be honest, I'm utterly disappointed and disenchanted by this country. I'll go so far as to say I'm embarrassed to be an American at this point in time. We're being driven into the ground by a lawless madman so I'm voting (and would be voting no matter where I was in the world) for change and progress.
I’m more embarrassed by al the looting and destruction. Who the hell wants to come to America and fear for their safety?! I flat out refuse to drive thru the city. What’s going on in other parts of the country is even worse. I’m so embarrassed by the extreme left who are throwing an adult temper tantrum bc they don’t like the president. All the messages that the peaceful protests were trying to convey are lost bc of the extreme left and their pure hatred for trump and America. It’s embarrassing what they are turning this country into.
I hated Obama, some of his policy’s cost my family a lot. I simply didn’t vote for him. I never “name called” my friends who supported him. Childish....that’s embarrassing. We get it, so many of you HATE trump. Deal with it at the polls. Learn to disagree without acting like a child. Even my children know to respect different opinions than theirs.
And you clap and then say a few posts earlier that it doesn’t make sense that I vote.
I’ll be voting. America is a major power in the world. However, I think that is starting to dwindle and other countries have it much better. I’ll still vote. I have every right to.

Can we just collectively decide to ignore trolls? Eventually they'll stop responding.
That would be great, but our resident mean girls are defending and agreeing with her, why they are feeding the troll I can't understand, so she's not going to go away.
