BFN..... what changes have you made after FET/IVF fail?

Hey. Outside of a lovely little implanter, I am thinking I am out. BFN 11dp FET. Beta on Fri.day

Has anyone added accupuncture after failed IVF/FET? Was it worth it for the next cycle?

How long have you stayed with the same RE with BFN's?

My body will be put on a rest if BETA proves it is a BFN. But I am already looking ahead to see what I would do differently for when I am allowed to cycle again.

I did back to back IVF cycles last year (fresh cycles).

I did get pregnant my first cycle, but miscarried. I've posted this before, but I'll do it again....

First IVF - No accupuncture
6 eggs retrieved
5 fertlized with ICSI
3 made it to transfer day (3dt, transferred all 3) - None to freeze

BFP = miscarried

Second IVF - Accupuncture 2x week up until retrieval. Also did a session the day before my transfer, and immediately following it. Once I got my BFP I continued until my RE released me.

18 eggs retrieved
16 mature
14 fertilized with ICSI
10 made it to transfer day
3 transferred on 3dt
6 made it to freeze

BFP = Twins, lost one and now have my DD who is almost 10 months old

My protocol didn't change regarding my meds, but I just added accupuncture, as you can see, my results were MUCH better



ETA: IF I make it to transfer this cycle, I am doing an accupuncture session immediately before and immediately after. My RE office has the accupuncturist come right to you in the recovery room before and after.

For our fresh IVF cycle, we transferred 2 and got a BFN.

Then we went straight into a medicated FET, transferred 3, and also got a BFN.

We went straight into our second FET, made no protocol changes, transferred 3, and got a BFP. The only change was that after my transfer I put myself on STRICT bedrest for 48 hours, ate pineapple core, stayed laying down on my left side, took no showers for those 48 hours, prayed to St. Gerard. I'll never know if that's what made it work - but it was really the only thing that changed!
