bfing moms-antibiotics for mastitis-new question added
how long before you started to feel better? i started the z pack last night and i still have a fever now. i've been taking advil for my fevers, but i just feel so terrible.
and i feel really bad for the babies, because i have no energy for them.
tia!
new question-it's been 2 days since this started and i still have fever. last night it was 102. today 100. is it normal to still have fever? i'm taking advil and the z pack.

thank you michelle! my fever finally broke, so i feel a little better. i can't wait until this is totally gone.

I'm so sorry you are going through this! It really is awful! I was taking Keflex and it took a few days before i felt better. Taking motrin helped as well. Hope you feel better soon...Mastitis is THE WORST! The most important thing I was told was to get plenty of rest if you can

Hmmm...not sure that is normal. Would call the doc. I know my fever went down right away with the motrin and never came back and that was before I started the antibiotics. I'm so sorry and hope you are feeling better now
