Best prices for baby food, diapers, formula (warehouse clubs)

Purely out of curosity, where is the best place to get the best prices for baby food (not natural, just regular gerber style), formula & diapers for warehouse clubs???

I currently belong to Sam's Club & Costco. I have to renew my Sam's Club membership, but the more I read, it seems like BJ's may be better for us over Costco (rarely shop there anyway). I'm keeping Sam's Club. If Sam's Club has good prices, I'll stick with just them.

Thanks!

I think you have to go to each store and check out exactly what you will be buying there and make a determination. BJ's takes coupons whereas Sam's doesn't, so some things are a better deal there. BJ's carries Beechnut and Luvs, and a larger selection of "extras"(sippies, etc.), Sam's doesn't.

BRU for diapers if you have a coupon or Target.

I bought generic formula and BJs was the cheapest.

I guess I should change to, which is better for baby stuff BJ's or Costco? Should I just ditch Costco? Do I even need either one if I'm keeping Sams (I personally find Sams has by far the best prices for stuff for me and my DH).

I don't use Luvs. I use Pampers and will be switching to Walmart brand formula in about 2 mos (I'm almost done with my BRU gift cards).

I'm more interested in the baby food since I have a feeling DS will be a big eater (he's LOVing cereal and loves his bottles).

Honestly, I don't usually find the warehouse prices better then other stores.

Target has had the best prices on things like baby food...Gerber, Earth's Best and the Graduate snacks. Sometimes, BRU has a sale and those are pretty good prices too.

I had a membership at both Costco and BJs. I just gave up my BJs membership to save a little money. I started using Costco's Kirkland brand diapers and I use Huggies wipes and Kirkland wipes. Food, I buy at Target, Fairway or Babies R Us when there is a sale. I BF, so no formula but I know Costco sells that too.
BJs does take coupons but the few dollars I would save there didn't make up for the price of the membership and also it is abot 25 minutes from my house. I find myself at Costco every week to get meat, fish, etc anyway. Sometimes, savings is not only a financial decision but a time decision too Chat Icon

FYI, the Walmart formula is made by the same manufacturer that makes Sam's brand formula (PBM Nutritionals) and you can get a 52.5 ounce can of powder for $19.99 at Sam's. This is more than twice the size of the regular size can at Walmart.

Thanks!! I was hoping they were the same since I don't live close to a Walmart and Sams is only about 15 minutes away!! YIPPY!

I find kirkland wipe's are the cheapest and best!
I tend to buy my diapers at cvs (sometimes target) on sale with coupons. DD wears Huggies supreme and they don't sell them at costco. On this website, http://babycheapskate.blogspot.com/, there is a spreadsheet that tells you what price per diaper is the price to beat so you know what's a good deal and what isn't. It also tells you where the sales are each week so you can be sure to get the best deal.

Re: Best prices for baby food, diapers, formula (warehouse clubs)

I'm thinking of adding myself to my sister's BJs membership because I use pampers and Costco doesn't carry them. I use the Costco wipes because I already had the membership, tried the wipes and liked them better than any other brand.

Here's my take on the warehouse prices. I think their regular prices are cheaper than other stores. But, if a place like Target has a sale, Target will often beat the price. However, whenever I go to Target for the sales, they seem to be wiped out of everything, or I can get one box of diapers, when I want to get 2 or 3. I love buying diapers, wipes and formula (when I used to) in bulk. For me, it is worth paying a couple of dollars more to have the stuff in the house and only have to shop once a month or so for it. I hate running out of diapers or wipes and having to run out and get it at the last minute.

I know in Costco they have the similac advanced 6 pack or RTF for 31.25 which is the cheepest i have seen it. Even when its on sale at other places this is still a better price.. I haven't realy checked out diapers(still working with what we got from my sshower) and food yet as dd hasn't started that yet.

I like BJs better simply for the fact that they take coupons and always have their own coupons. So you can save up to $5 more on diapers, formula etc.
