Cafe Continental in Manhasset.
It's Northern Italian food, which is different than the 'Italian dishes' you find in most resturants.

Francesco's Trattoria in East Islip. Not a big fancy place but its got a lovely, cozy dining area in the back and the food is UNBELIEVABLE. We also have them cater all our events and people are always raving about the food.

We've been happy with Venere's in Westbury..
Borelli's is ok if you want a place to take the kids.

I LOVE King Umbertos in Elmont, Umbertos in New Hyde Park (not their pizza but food), La Familigia in Plainview and Elisa's in North Bellmore.

I agree on KU of Elmont. I like the Umberto's in NYP but their service is horrible! So rude! The one in Elmont has amazing food, service(a little slow at times), and Pizza!

We love Mama's in Oakdale. There are two - the one we like is the stand along one. Not the one in the shopping center. DH loves their gluten free menu too.

No it's not Chinese...it's a little Italian family type restaurant
