Best family friendly Orlando resort NOT on Disney property
Thinking of going to Disney again this year but probably stay off property this time. Which resort is not too far from Disney and has great pools?.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Vacation Club Orange Lake last summer and thought it was wonderful! I've heard great things about the Sheraton Vistana as well. We are staying at Marriott Grande Vista in April and it seems nice too.

Marriott Harbour Lakes is awesome! 2 great pool areas, one with a pirate ship, the other zero entry with a slide. A splash area with spraying geysers. Mini golf and tons of planned activities on property. It's not HUGE like many off site resorts, so you aren't having to drive to different pool areas, etc. Everything is in walking distance. My kids LOVE it there!

We own at Orange Lake and love it there. We have also stayed at Sheraton Vistana, but we prefer our home resort. Another nice one we've stayed at is Summer Bay.

We also love Orange Lake. Tons to do there so you don't have to do Disney all the time. Pools, water slides etc.

Four Seasons Orlando has an AMAZING pool. They just opened in 2014 so everything is brand new. Rooms were very comfortable. Loved staying there. Highly recommend.
