Bar Mitzvah Gift
My son is attending a school friends celebration this evening. What is an appropriate amount to give? I seem to remember that certain multiples are considered lucky when giving cash gifts? Maybe 9? I can't recall exactly...

Traditionally it is in denominations of 18 because the numerical amount ads up to the word life. My kids just had their b’nai mitzvah. Most friends gave $50 or $72 or $75.
