Babylon Argyle Lake fair on Sunday

Is anyone going?
Does anyone know what the weather's going to be?
I'm going to have a booth there but it seems that I have to listen to the radio to find out if it's been rained out, and I don't know how early they make that determination. Chat Icon
Anyway, if you're coming, stop by to visit me! I'll be at booth B8. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Really? I hope so!! I would hate to load up 2 cars worth of stuff and then find that it got rained out Chat Icon I'm waiting to hear back from them as to when they make the determination to cancel it if the weather is bad.

Yeah, it's a nice fair. It goes most of the way around the lake. Then in 2 weeks from this Sunday is the West Islip one- which I have a spot at also (don't know the spot # yet though. Chat Icon ) That one has inflatable slides and stuff like that for the kids.... they're both really nice fairs. Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon You guys just made my day. Chat Icon Hopefully the weather will be one less day to worry about. Chat Icon

The fair 'technically' starts at like noon (that's what they say anyway, supposedly b/c ppl park in the Church parking lot(s) who aren't attending church that day) but they tell us we have to be set up by 8am, and people are always there by then shopping. So I think it 'unofficially' starts around 8am.Chat Icon Chat Icon

It's a big crafts fair. They have food and I believe music- not sure about any rides though... I don't think so. It's a nice walk around the lake though and there are a lot of different vendors...

The one on the 21st (West Islip Country Fair) has this on their home page- that one is about 5 mins (if even) from where the one this Sunday is:

Over 300 Craft Vendors
Bounce, Slide, Petting Zoo, Magician, Face Painting,
Sand Art for Children
Come taste the wide variety of foods!
Italian, Polish, Mexican, ice cream, french fries, sweet potatoes,
funnel cakes, hot dogs, hamburgers and more!

Re: Babylon Argyle Lake fair on Sunday

Glad you posted about this. I usually go every year and I had no idea it was this weekend.

I go to the West Islip one too, which is usually easier to move around.

Post when you know your booth # for the WI one too please.

I love the Babylon one, but with a stroller it's almost impossible. So much more room at the WI one.

Yeah, I was wondering how they advertise this b/c I had never heard of it before another vendor told me about it 3 years ago. Chat Icon And I research like crazy on line to find out LI fairs.
I agree- W. Islip is much easier to move around. I will def. post my booth # for that one once I get it. Chat Icon

I agree. I've found in past years a lot of ppl w/ strollers tend to go first thing in the morning- then it's usually not THAT bad, but I'd imagine it's still difficult (says the aunt who is ready to mow over people's feet at Disney World Chat Icon Chat Icon )

Hmmm... I was planning on bring DS in the stroller, maybe I should skip that and just take the Bjorn?? Although carrying him and his little brother or sister is getting harder and harder on me these days.
