He went missing from the school a few blocks from me. So much police activity this weekend seaching for him. I really hope they find him soon!

I was in tears listening to his family on the news. I read that he has done this several times and found in subway stations. I hope there's a positive outcome. Praying for this family and shame on that school!

I teared up when I heard about this at school today. I teach students with autism and we have a lot of kids who are "runners." I have had kids squirm free from holding my hand and take off down a hallway. Its the scariest thing. My school is luckily on the 4th floor of the building and we have good procedures for making sure no child can leave the building. It is my worst fear that something would happen to one of my students. I am praying that someone finds this boy.

My stomach is in knots for this family.
Is there a chance he could be hiding somewhere? I know it's not the best source, but wasn't there an episode of SVU where there was an autistic child who did this and he would often run to certain spots and hide?
Regardless, I hope he is found safe.

I hope they find him. As a parent with a child on the spectrum.....I cant even imagine what they are going through. I know Chris went missing for 15 minutes and It felt like days. It is scary, because they are so helpless

I keep hoping to hear of his safe return. Hopefully he makes it home soon!! This breaks my heart. My son is the same age (also on the spectrum) and can't even imagine!

I wonder if that's why there were so many flyers at my station. I thought it was just a general posting, but maybe they are targeting subways.

They are targeting Subway stations and the neightborhood he went missing in- Long Island City (which is where I live)
Last night detectives knocked on our door asking if we had a camera outside (we don't) or if we had seen anything. They looked really defeated- like they've been searching for days and NO leads! The school is on the East River- so I know that was a fear too. This is just so sad.
