Are pediatricians doing virtual visits?
I’m going to call them in the morning, but just for peace of mind, does anyone know if doctor’s offices are doing virtual visits, specifically pediatricians?
DD has been using a cream for what looks like eczema and her skin is getting worse. I’d really hate to bring her into the office.

I am sure for something like this your ped would be more than willing to have you send them a pic or video and advise you over the the phone.
I can't see them making you come in

Yes, we go to one of the allied groups. They are doing virtual visits and have a ton of protocol right now to keep everyone separate when a visit is necessary. I believe they said they'll see non patients now too. PM Peds is also doing virtual visits.

Yes they are. My daughter had a weird rash around her mouth last week and my Ped had me text over a photo.

Btw, are you using any new cleaners lately? I'm sure I'm not the only one that is. So many of the disinfectants give me terrible eczema like rashes. Mr. Clean, lysol wipes, method, etc. I tried something new last week and the tops of both hands broke out in a day. I try to stick to just diluted bleach which doesn't seem to bother me.

Out of curiosity, is allied charging for telemedicine? I wonder how they deal with non-patients?

We go to an allied pediatrician. My 5 year old had a bad earache last weekend and I was dreading taking him in but they had me do a virtual visit. She couldn’t check his ear so she just prescribed the antibiotic and said give it if the pain continues. They really want to limit who goes into the office. We were charged our regular copay.

Are pediatricians doing virtual visits?
PM Pediatrics has an app that you can use for virtual visits. I believe it is only from a certain time in the evenings that they do them though.
