Appropriate or not?

For a K-5 school halloween party, a mom (yes she has a rockin body) wears this:

External Image

Maybe I'm a little conservative, but I feel like that is something I'd wear to surpise my man in the bedroom, not even to an adult Saturday night halloween party!!!

This particular mother wears something very sexy and provacative every single year. Yes, she has every dad droolin and moms glancing and jealous Chat Icon

I don't thinks its bad. It's not really revealing.

I'm very liberal with these things, though.

I give any mom credit for having the confidence to wear it- I think that's awesome.

I don't think it's appropriate for a mom at her kid's school.party. just because you can doesn't mean you should.
And as far as the dads drooling and the other moms jealous, I have a feeling that is exactly her goal. Seems to me like attention seeking behavior at it's best.

I think it's less about confidence with this particular woman and more about attention, as I said she wears something like this every year. It's more that it's skin-tight that makes it more revealing and sexy than anything. Similar to the leggings (cover your ass, etc)opinions!!

If a mom had the balls to wear this to a school function, I'd bet my last dollar she was dolled up to the nines. This isn't the kind of costume you just slap on and go.

Re: Appropriate or not?

That is ridiculous. I don't know if it's inappropriate exactly. I imagine it just made her look foolish and desperate.

I think it's inappropriate.

Maybe it's just the lighting on my computer or something, but exactly is going on with the crotch area of this costume? It looks weirdly phallic.

Don't worry, I thought the same thing and could see a certain population of men popping this on.

As for being appropriate at a kids party, absolutely not, and I also agree with the other ladies that it is very attention whore-ish.

Appropriate or not?

For a children's party? Not at all appropriate. For an adult party, it's not too bad.

Re: Appropriate or not?

Not appropriate!

I would never wear this period, not because its to sexy, but because a sexy cat is the lamest costume ever! What says "I want to dress like an skank AND I have zero creativity" more than a sexy kitty costume? I kid, I kid....but seriously? At an elementary school? That is some serious attention wh$ring. Those things are supposed to be about the kids and a mom wearing this takes away from the kids' costumes. Were there others moms in costumes? I don't remember the moms ever dressing up when I was in school and they definitely don't where I teach.

It's true...I'm all about creativity in a costume. I Chat Icon at naughty cops, sexy kitty cats, playboy bunnies and sexy devils. This is totally inappropriate for a kids party

Re: Appropriate or not?

Appropriate for school? I don't think so.... It's a sexy costume whether its revealing or not... There are no police officer in real life on the job that are dressed that way so it's def not appropriate.

Re: Appropriate or not?

I think it's inappropriate for a kiddie party, but I know one mom who would wear it... I think her entire wardrobe comes from the Frederick's of Hollywood catalog!!

That being said, I dressed up for DD's Halloween party. Below is the pic of the costume I wore, but I have very short legs so it came to just above the knee and I wore leggings with it. I had no cleavage. (The lady in the pic does). I was told after the fact that people thought it was inappropriate. I guess you just can't please everybody!!
