Anyone who has had a blood test...
I got a call from my gynocologist today about my blood work. She wants me to get retested because my white blood cell count was above avg (14.2 and the avg is like 10 something) and i did not have a cold or anything and I tested slightly above average for rheumotoid virus. I am like bugging out now.
ANyone get results like this? Thanks for any advice you can all give.

i have never had that happen...but i've seen where results were skewed b/c they tested the blood wrong or soemthing like that...its usually the labs fault.
i wouldn't worry about it.

I had an elevated rheumatoid factor last year--if you have a muscle strain or anything is sore, those numbers can go up. I kept getting tested and even when to a rheumatologist a few times but they determined that it was nothing.

I wouldn't worry all that much. I had a blood test come back with a high white blood cell count and it was a subcunious (I have no idea if that is even remotely spelled correctly) infection which was cleared up with antibiotics.

I'm just worried about the white blood count because it is pretty higher then avg and i have not had an infection or cold in the past few months. This is why I hate taking tests in general - they scare the crap out of you.
I was just tryinig to read up on info on the web. There is so many scary things they say leukimia, cancer, bacterial infections, or it can mean nothing. Errrrr...
