Anyone still following the Gabby Petito story?
Trying to still keep up and I can't imagine how frustrated her parents must be.

Do they think he can just be on the lam forever?? His "luck" has to run out one of these days.

I can not believe he is still in Florida living off the land. I just don't believe that. He's such a generic looking white dude that if he just shaved his beard and wore a hat, he could really blend in anywhere.

But I think that the easiest way to catch him is if people are still aware he's out there and missing. Keep getting his picture out there so more people know to look for him. I feel so bad for her family. Can you imagine knowing that your child's murderer might get away with it?

I agree. I truly don't understand any of it. What happened is terribly tragic. But how many young women are killed by their boyfriends each day and they don't get even half of the media attention this did. Who chooses who is worthy of being a media sensation and who isn't?

I ended up on a Facebook group about this ( I tend to join groups just so I can observe and in the Long run drive myself crazy   ) the people on there are nutty and way too invested. They come up with all these insane theories it’s actually comical.
I do hope they find him soon. I haven’t really been paying too much close attention because I feel like it’s all over the place but I do feel his parents knows where he is/was and is not being truthful.

I agree. I truly don't understand any of it. What happened is terribly tragic. But how many young women are killed by their boyfriends each day and they don't get even half of the media attention this did. Who chooses who is worthy of being a media sensation and who isn't?
I believe it’s part luck of the draw and how vocal people are and if they can get followings. These parents were able to get this as a hot topic all Over social media sites so naturally the news will pick it up!!

Speaking of crazy theories, I saw a post on tik tok that had video of his parents gardening in their back yard (via drone) and they person suggested that he is in a underground bunker in their backyard because in the video they are saying they can see a hand reach out in one of their garden boxes. And the mother was passing him something underground.

It is insane. My husband told me about that and I just looked at him and rolled my eyes lol. People will come up with anything.
I DO think it is odd though that you are just going about your day gardening as I would be out there trying to find him especially if I didn't have to work.

I watched a documentary on Netflix I think about that girl who was found in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil hotel in LA
It was a very interesting story and documentary.
But the internet sleuths trying to solve it were too much.
They actually convinced themselves that some musician killed her and they were analyzing his songs and saying he admitted to it in lyrics etc. People were sending him death threats etc
Turns out he had nothing to do with it.
Some people really have nothing better to do and get obsessed with shit like this.

I think if he wasn't still missing it would be yesterday's news, however people are still captivated by it because he's out there somewhere, getting away with this.
However, the media in this country is out of control. There are a million stories about how one ex FBI thinks this is what happened, and how this psychologist thinks that's what happened, and a PI thinks another thing. And they all report these things as if they are facts and not opinions or speculations and then people latch on to these things AS IF they were facts. And people are too overwhelmed and two stupid to see through all of this to the truth.

Me either. The guys def escaped to Mexico and I bet by now even farther to a country in Central or South America.
