Anyone go to the new Cheesecake Factory at SmithHaven Mall?
Are there long waits? Is the food good? I have been online to look at the menu but there are no prices!

The prices are a little higher than an Applebees or something but the food is AMAZING. Everything I've ever ordered there I love.
I haven't been to the new one in Smithaven yet, but if it's anything like the one in The Source in Westbury, plan to wait a while. But it's worth it! I passed it the other night and told DH to be prepared to go there!

i say give them more time.
i was there the night before thanksgiving - an hour wait for a table, an hour wait for the food once we were seated.....In our party of 4, 1 person's food was served the way it was ordered - all 3 others were wrong.
AND I was sick all night from the Caesar Salad I ate.

That stinks. An hour wait to get in is not too bad though. We waited 3 hours when Olive Garden opened (don't ask why!!). We did go shopping though so we didn't just sit there for 3 hours.

the wait was 1 hour for 2 people, 2 hours for 6 people on Thurs night.
I havent been there yet.

we tried the other night and it was 1.5 hours wait....I figured we would go one night during the week and maybe have a shorter wait!!

we went and it was AWESOME... we went around 3:30-4:00 for an early dinner (on a weeknight) then went shopping afterward... we didnt wait at all... we walked right in...

no amount of time is going to make the waiting period go down. get ready to wait if you want to eat there or go for an early dinner. but i think it's kind of worth it (depending on the wait!)

Went there last Sat and the wait was over 2 hours long - needless to say we left and went somewhnere else. Tried again on Monday night and the wait was an hour long - still didn't wait. I hope it dies down soon so we can actually eat there!

There will always be a wait, but it's worth it because their food is great! It's very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get, the portions are huge!

I totally don't understand the attraction to that place - The wait is always over an hour, the menu is ridiculous(I am not a fan of advertising in my menu) and the food is mediocre at best.
With all the great private restaurants on LI I never understand why people go to "box" restaurants.

Its definitely not my favorite - but I like going there because the menu is HUGE - you can get anything - and i have never ordered anythign I didnt like - its good to go with a big group bc of the menu.
the wait is ridiculous though...

I went last nite (second time). We waited about 2 hrs but around 9 pm I heard them turning away people. Honestly, the service is really slow!!!!!!!! The wait is horrendous! the actual food was very avg both times...needs alot more seasoning BUT....the cheesecake...thats fantastic!!!!!!!!
