anyone give maylox or mylanta for infant w? reflux?

my GI said to use 1 teaspoon 3x a day but 1 teaspoon is 5 ML's and that seems a lot.


how old was your dc?
how much did u give a day?

That was the first thing we tried. 1 tsp. twice a day. It didn't do anything for DS. Then we went on Zantac and it has worked wonders for us! But every baby is different!

I gave DS Mylanta at about 4-5 weeks old. It didn't help at all. I gave the same amount 1tsp twice a day. They started him on other medication and it really helped.

thanks guys! he's already taking axid 3 x a day but it's just getting worse.

my son is on prevacid, and the dr said to also give 3/4 tsp of mylanta up to 4 times a day....I never thought the mylanta really worked...sometimes I will give it if I see its really bad, but for us, it doesnt seem to do much.
